Originally developed to catch the “short striking” native trout in West Virginia streams, however, Short-Striker Classics are equally at home hooking Smallmouth, Crappie and Bream.

The secret of the Short Striker is 3-Fold. First off, the enticing, mirror polished spinner blade creates a flash which grabs the trout’s attention. The hand tied fly, carefully chosen to “match the hatch” represents a favorite food source and causes an instinctive strike.
